Our Mission

The mission of Chapter 5 is to help athletes discover their new purpose and transition into life after the game.

About Us

Chapter 5 aims to alleviate the period of mental anguish by providing education, information and support on the many development periods that we feel are essential to having a successful transition. Areas of focus will be, but not limited to, facilitating self-assessment, the possession of knowledge and understanding of financial matters, master how to build and maintain essential working relationships (networking), continuing education/degree achievement services, capitalizing on your personal brand, resource network of business and athletic mentors, and a reference center filled with literature, worksheets (time management, resume building etc.), full health evaluation, what happens in retirement with respect to insurance/medical, and curating research for the purpose of helping an athlete find meaning post career, as well as helping them build their legacy.

Chapter 5 will create a resource network of athletes who have successfully transitioned and allow them to offer their stories through bios and video testimonials, on multiple platforms. Chapter 5 will also build a network of trusted advocates who can provide the treatments necessary for those seeking help from chronic pain, substance dependence, and Neuro trauma, among other things necessary to specific individuals. Lastly, Chapter 5 will educate the spouses of transitioning athletes, on how to better deal with their man/woman as they navigate through this most difficult time.

What We Believe

It is Chapter 5’s belief, and the belief of its founding board members and trusted advocates, that through self discovery, athletes will not only be able to become better mental warriors during their career, but will also gain the knowledge and tools necessary to transition successfully into life after the game.
